     CPR instructor Marlo Holloway is a thirteen year healthcare industry professional. She began her health care career as a Paramedic. Marlo has met and helped many people over the last ten years to be better prepared for emergencies through teaching CPR, AED and First Aid classes. This year at the 55^th Annual Governor's Industrial Safety and Health Conference Marlo was honored with the Governor's life saving award for being a hero to one of her students. Last October while teaching a First Aid class one of Marlo's students collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. Marlo initiated CPR and administered a life saving shock to the student's heart with an AED defibrillator. The patient lives a happy productive life today and calls Marlo "my angel." Marlo's professionalism, humor, and the relaxed atmosphere that she creates in her classroom receives the praise of her students and keeps companies calling an Ounce of Prevention again and again to recertify their employees.

     The American Red Cross of Seattle also recognized Marlo Holloway for her courage, compassion and display of community and civil service. From them she received the 2006 Certificate of Merit Award.

Seattle CPR classes are taught from the American Heart Association Curriculum and cards are good for two years.
