Our mission at An Ounce of Prevention is to train our neighbors and community for confidence in an emergency. We believe that the knowledge of life saving techniques you gain from our training is an ounce of prevention in your life that is valued at a pound of cure.
An Ounce of Prevention is a safety training company that teaches CPR, First Aid, AED (defibrillation) and Blood Borne Pathogen classes in and around the Puget Sound area. Our instructors are health care and industry professionals with over ten years of teaching experience.
Set up a class today at a time that works best for your company. We are an onsite service that brings the instruction to your location of office or home. Students will never be bored and learn better in our classrooms. Instructors use a variety of teaching techniques including auditory, visual and kinesthetic to ensure that everyone is learning in their best way. The classrooms literally come alive as instructors draw upon their real life experiences.
Each course is consistent one to the next. We use the new 2006 CPR and Emergency Cardiac Care ECC guidelines. We use a 2:1 student to manikin ratio for optimal learning. Students learn team work and build confidence as they use a check off sheet to coach each other through the steps of CPR.
Our classes are taken by professional and lay rescuers. Previous students include fitness centers, daycares, families, babysitters, grandparents, hospitals, schools, medical clinics, restaurants, and private businesses.
